How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Plant Engineer

    £50,000 - £60,000 + Overtime + Van + Training + Long-Term Stability + Company Benefits

    Are you an Engineer from a Plant, Agricultural, HGV or Industrial background looking for a varied role with a growing company offering long-term stability, specialist equipment, overtime and a great working environment?

    On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding business, where you'll work on a wide range of commercial vehicles, plant equipment and agricultural machinery, with plenty of variety and the chance to develop your skillset further.

    This company operate across the commercial, amenity, construction and agricultural sectors, and are known for delivering high-quality work and maintaining a modern, well-equipped workshop. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add another skilled engineer to the team.

    In this role, you will carry out fault finding, servicing, repairs, inspections and routine maintenance across a wide range of machinery and vehicles. You'll also support with hydraulics, mechanical fitting, fabrication and workshop-based repairs, while helping to keep equipment safe, compliant and ready for use.

    This role would suit a hands-on Engineer with a background in plant, agricultural, HGV, commercial vehicles or heavy equipment, looking for a secure role with excellent variety and long-term prospects.

    The Role:

    Servicing, fault finding, repairs and maintenance on plant, vehicles and machinery
    Workshop-based mechanical work including hydraulics, fitting, inspections and fabrication
    Van, Training and Overtime

    The Person:

    Background in Plant, Agricultural, HGV, Commercial Vehicle or Mechanical Engineering
    Full UK Driving Licence
