Our client, a global leader in aerospace fuel systems, is currently seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team in Titchfield. This role is pivotal as the company relocates to a new state-of-the-art facility in Daedalus, Hampshire, which will serve as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Define production/sub-contract process flow and routings
Support supply chain with technical queries and the need for permits/concessions/design updates
Partner with Goods Receiving and Stores via MRB meetings
Evaluate and execute stock salvage
Generate rework process routings driven by delivery requirements
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient production for aerospace components and assemblies
Support the MRB process by reviewing, investigating, and salvaging non-conforming supplied products
Coordinate with supply chain and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and process capability
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, internal specs)
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
Experience in aerospace or a similarly regulated mechanical manufacturing environment
Skills:
Demonstrated experience and involvement with Sub-Contractors
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as assembly & integration, fuel systems, and special processes (e.g., heat treatment, surface finishing)
Working knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP)
Experience in APQP related activities, Risk Assessments, FMEAs, SPC, Continuous Improvement etc.
Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast-paced environments
Detail-oriented with a passion for process excellence
