Make Every Day Matter
Looking for a career where no two days are the same, every conversation counts, and you can make a real difference?
At The Wilf Ward Family Trust, we're looking for a caring and compassionate person to join our team, a warm and welcoming Supported Living service in Brough that's home to three incredible ladies.
The ladies have fantastic personalities, love a good laugh, enjoy a chat, and have a wicked sense of humour. They value spending time with one another, their families and their support team, while also enjoying their own independence and personal space. If you're someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and helping people live life to the fullest, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Role
You'll be supporting the ladies to live fulfilling, independent lives while encouraging them to make their own choices every day.
No two shifts are the same. One day you could be supporting someone to attend their favourite day service, enjoying a trip to the cinema, stopping for coffee at a local café, or heading out shopping. Another day might involve helping someone prepare a meal, supporting with household tasks, or simply spending time chatting over a cup of tea.
Each of the ladies has her own vehicle, so a full UK driving licence is essential. As they use wheelchairs, you'll also help them access the community confidently and safely so they can continue enjoying the activities they love.
Your role will include:
Providing personal care with dignity and respect
Supporting with cooking, cleaning and daily living tasks
Encouraging independence and developing life skills
Supporting appointments, day services and community activities
Building positive relationships and delivering personalised, person-centred support
Shift Patterns
The service provides support 24 hours a day, so you'll work a range of shifts including:
Day shifts
Waking nights
Flexible weekday shifts
Working 2 out of every 4 weekends
Why Join The Wilf Ward Family Trust?

Up to 33 days' annual leave
Full training and recognised qualifications – no experience required

At our service, you'll become much more than a Support Worker—you'll become part of a close-knit team and an important part of the lives of three amazing ladies.
