How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently looking for an experienced Forklift Driver / Telehandler Operator for a 1-week contract on a construction site in the Chichester area.

    The role is for an experienced and qualified Telehandler/Forklift Operator to work on a construction site near Chichester, starting on 20 July 2026. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CPCS, NPORS, or appropriate CSCS card, have proven experience operating a telehandler on construction sites, and possess a full UK driving licence with their own transport. They should be reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to provide two recent work references, along with full PPE.

    The successful applicant will be responsible for safely moving and distributing materials, carrying out daily equipment checks, assisting with general site duties when required, and maintaining a safe and organised working environment while following all health and safety procedures. The employer is looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Requirements

    Valid CPCS, NPORS or CSCS card (appropriate qualification for the role).
    Proven experience operating a telehandler/forklift on construction sites.
    Must have a full UK driving licence and own transport due to the site location.
    Ability to provide 2 recent work references.
    Full PPE.
    Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safely operate the telehandler/forklift to move materials around site.
    Load, unload, and distribute materials as directed.
    Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects.
    Assist site teams with general duties when required.
    Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
    Work in accordance with all site health and safety procedures.
