How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Class 2 Driver (Nights)

    Location: Manchester Airport

    Contract: Seasonal (Until 31st October 2026)

    Hours: 40 hours per week

    About the Role

    We are recruiting on behalf of our client for Class 2 Drivers to join their team at Manchester Airport on a seasonal contract running until 31st October 2026.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced airport environment, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

    Shift Pattern

    40 hours per week

    5 nights on, 3 nights off

    Mixture of:

    10-hour shifts: 21:00 – 07:00

    8-hour shifts: 22:00 – 06:00

    Key Responsibilities

    Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with all road traffic legislation and company procedures.

    Transport goods safely and efficiently across Manchester Airport and surrounding operational areas.

    Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.

    Load and unload vehicles where required, ensuring goods are handled safely.

    Complete all relevant delivery and transport documentation accurately.

    Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed within agreed timescales.

    Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.

    Comply with all health and safety regulations and airport operating procedures.

    Requirements

    Full UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence.

    Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.

    Digital Tachograph Card.

    Previous Class 2 driving experience.

    Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations.

    Strong communication and organisational skills.

    Ability to work permanent night shifts on a 5 on, 3 off rota.

    Ability to obtain and maintain an airside security pass (subject to a 5-year employment and criminal record check).
