About the Role
We’re looking for a safety-focused Banksman to help manage vehicle movements at our busy Widnes site.

As a Banksman, you’ll work closely with drivers, weighbridge operators and site teams to ensure vehicles move safely and efficiently around the yard. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who communicates clearly, stays alert and is confident working in a busy operational environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Banksman, you will:
Safely control vehicle movements throughout the yard
Give clear instructions and signals to drivers
Communicate with weighbridge operators and operational teams
Ensure first-time visitors complete the required site induction
Monitor compliance with site operating times and traffic rules
Report drivers who fail to follow movement instructions
Ensure PPE requirements are followed
Keep the yard clear of debris, obstacles and potential hazards
Arrange cleaning support when required
Assist other site teams when neededAbout You
You will:
Have strong communication skills
Be confident giving clear instructions to drivers
Be safety-conscious and observant
Work well as part of a team
Be comfortable working independently
Be prepared to work predominantly outdoors
Ideally have experience in a yard, recycling, logistics or similar operational environmentThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Banksman or someone with relevant site experience who wants to join a busy and supportive operational team.
