How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Azure Databricks Data Lake Deployment Squad Lead** (Contract)

    Duration: Up until 31 March 2026 (Possibility for extension)

    Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)

    Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

    Role Profile

    This role will manage a scrum team that will ingest data required for the ECB Onboarding program into the EMEA Data Platform with a focus on data required by the EUAG Finance Department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Facilitate efficient and effective software delivery from inception to go-live for the EMEA Data Platform, primary focus will be running multi skilled scrum team including business, data office, and technical staff.
    Work with the Product Owners, business stakeholders, data modellers, data engineers, testers and Data Office to deliver a well-planned pipeline of data sets.
    Agree priorities with stakeholders.
    Use scrum techniques to deliver data requirements within a scrum of scrum structure and drive effective outcomes each sprint.
    Ensure risks are well managed and issues are resolved.
    Remove blockers to progress of the scrum team and track progress within sprints.
    Responsible for effective and efficient running of Software Development Scrums consisting of Developers, Testers, Business Analysts and other stakeholders.
    Ensure that everyone on the team understands goals, scope, estimates and burndown charts of each iteration.
    Maintain product backlog and agree prioritisation with senior stakeholders.
    Identify and remove obstacles so that the team members can focus on their immediate tasks.
    Keep stakeholders up to date via direct communications, tailored reports and JIRA dashboards.
    Ensure the creation of meaningful MI to allow for transparency.
    Escalate any serious challenges to scope, timelines and budget to senior management.

    Key Requirements:

    Broad and deep understanding of data utilised in a corporate investment bank. Especially in Finance departments and for their reporting
    Core Agile methodology experience (Scrum, Scrum of Scrums)
    Experience with using Atlassian JIRA
    Ability to handle communications at all levels from across the whole business.
    Experience and understanding of a Banking Environment, Product range and associated opportunities and risks
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, share ideas, and contribute to group discussions.
    Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work with a focus on accuracy and precision.
    Proven ability to work independently on large scale projects.
    Experience working with off shore resources.
    Exposure to concepts like Data Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture, especially with Databricks as the underlying technology.
