How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in Wellingborough that is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting pupils at a crucial stage of their primary education. You'll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

    The Role

    Support the Year 2 class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.
    Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
    Encourage pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
    Assist with the preparation of engaging learning resources and classroom displays.
    Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
    A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
    Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
