How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Up to £85,000 plus company package

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Civil Engineering Contractor delivering major infrastructure schemes across the Northwest

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing business and play a key role in the delivery of complex, high-value engineering projects supporting critical infrastructure across the region. The role will involve working on major civil engineering schemes across sectors including water, utilities, energy, transport and wider public infrastructure.

The successful candidate will join an expanding regional team delivering projects ranging in value up to £150m, working with a range of public sector organisations, private clients and strategic partners. This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business focused on delivering sustainable, resilient infrastructure that supports communities for the future.

My client is a multidisciplinary civil engineering contractor operating nationally with a turnover in the region of £500m. Their Civil Infrastructure division is a key area of growth for the business, providing excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

    Criteria:

Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contractor delivering projects up to £100m+ in value.
Strong experience working with NEC forms of contract.
Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial relationships.
    Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure schemes.
Proven track record delivering civil engineering projects including highways, earthworks, drainage, structures and associated infrastructure works.
Ability to demonstrate long-term commitment and progression within previous organisations (this role is not suited to freelance professionals).

    On Offer:

    £75,000 - £85,000 per annum (DOE)
    Car allowance plus mileage expenses
    Pension scheme
    Mobile phone
    Healthcare (following probation period)
    Hybrid working options
    Excellent career progression opportunities
    Plus much more!

Our client is seeking ambitious and driven candidates who are looking to develop their career within an expanding organisation delivering some of the region’s most significant infrastructure improvements.
