How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Quantity Surveyor
    Midlands
    Civil Engineering Contractor
    Up to £85,000 plus company package

    We are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineering Contractor working within the Midlands as part of schemes up to the value of £150m.I am looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, who is looking to progress their career and move to one of the country’s most reputable contractors. This role is an opportunity to be part of an upcoming region working for both local authorities and private clients as part of major works within the energy and water sector as well as other private & public sector clients

    My client is a multidisciplinary civil engineering contractor that operate nationally and turn over in the region of £500m. This opportunity falls within their Civil Infrastructure unit, which includes a Civil Engineering arm that is now the major focus of growth for the company, providing exciting opportunities for their employees.

    Criteria:
    •Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a contractor working as part of projects up to the value of £100m.
    •Experience with NEC form of contract is a must.
    •Ideally have experience with subcontractor procurement.
    •Experience delivering highways large infrastructure schemes
    •Proven track record delivering civil engineering schemes – roads, earthworks, drainage, structures.
    •You must be able to demonstrate longevity of service with a company (this role is not suitable for freelance professionals).

    On Offer:
