How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of retail-focused construction and infrastructure projects across the UK, overseeing schemes from initial feasibility and design development through to construction completion and handover.
This role will suit a proactive and commercially aware Project Manager with experience delivering retail developments, highways, car park projects, or similar construction schemes. You will play a key role in coordinating consultants, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
The position offers excellent career development opportunities within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
    Key Responsibilities
·Manage the delivery of retail construction, highway, and car park projects from feasibility through to completion.
·Take responsibility for project programmes, budgets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
·Coordinate and manage external consultants, contractors, and specialist teams.
·Develop and maintain project briefs, objectives, timelines, and delivery strategies.
·Monitor project progress and ensure works are delivered on time and within budget.
·Manage projects within live retail environments, minimising disruption to customers and stakeholders.

·Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and approval processes.
·Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver successful outcomes.
·Provide clear reporting, updates, and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be an organised, driven, and confident Project Manager with a strong understanding of retail construction and infrastructure delivery.
You should be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and taking ownership of projects from inception through to completion.
    You will demonstrate:
    ·A proactive approach with a "can-do" attitude.
·Strong communication skills across all levels of management.
·The confidence to challenge poor practice and identify improvements.
    ·Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
·Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
·The ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.

·Experience managing retail construction, redevelopment, or infrastructure projects.
·Experience delivering highway and car park-related projects.
·Understanding of CDM Regulations and construction health & safety requirements.
·Experience in project management, strategic planning, and programme delivery.
·Experience with contract administration and financial management.
·Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings.
·Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Strong organisational and time management skills.
·Full UK driving licence and ability to travel nationally.

    ·£3,000 car allowance.
·25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
    ·Office closure over Christmas period.
·Additional day off for your birthday.
·Option to purchase additional annual leave.
    ·Pension scheme.
·Life insurance cover (three times salary).
·Access to health and wellbeing support services, including virtual GP and mental health support.
    ·Funded training and professional development.
