A well-established national property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor or Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing Leeds team.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be involved in a broad range of surveying and project delivery instructions across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering projects, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Project Management and Contract Administration duties across refurbishment and improvement schemes.
Undertaking condition surveys, measured surveys and defect investigations.
Producing technical reports, specifications and professional advice for clients.
Delivering refurbishment, alteration and extension projects from inception through to completion.
Carrying out due diligence and acquisition surveys.
Managing projects both pre and post contract.
Working closely with clients to ensure successful project delivery and service excellence.
Supporting business development activities and helping secure repeat work.
Collaborating with wider design and consultancy teams across multiple disciplines.
Maintaining awareness of current legislation, industry standards and best practice guidance.
Supporting and leading project teams appropriate to your level of experience.
About You
Applicants should possess a solid grounding in Building Surveying and be comfortable operating within a client-facing consultancy environment.
Requirements include:
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related RICS-accredited discipline.
MRICS, MCIOB or working towards professional accreditation.
Previous consultancy-based Building Surveying experience.
Experience delivering refurbishment, maintenance and extension projects, typically up to £1m in value.
Strong understanding of both pre and post contract services.
Ability to manage client relationships and provide commercially focused advice.
Working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
Understanding of current Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
Competent AutoCAD user, with Revit experience viewed favourably.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as projects require.
