SLR Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Installer – Fire Rated Cable Transit & Penetration Sealing Systems to join our client on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the defence and naval sector. Working on Royal Navy vessels and defence infrastructure, you'll receive full training and support while developing specialist skills in the installation of fire-rated cable transit and penetration sealing systems. No previous cable transit experience is required—if you have a practical background, a great work ethic and are keen to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
* Work as part of a specialist installation team on naval vessels and defence facilities.
* Receive full on-the-job training and genuine career progression.
* Primarily based in Portsmouth Naval Base and Devonport with UK travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with installation of fire-rated cable transit and penetration sealing systems.
* Prepare work areas, materials and equipment.
* Carry out installations to manufacturer and defence standards.
* Maintain quality, safety and documentation.
* Work closely with senior installers and site teams.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications
* CSCS Card.
* Construction, shipbuilding, engineering, mechanical or electrical experience.
* BPSS or SC Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
