Job Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and distribution of board meeting agendas, papers, and minutes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Support the organisation and administration of board meetings, including logistics and documentation management.
Maintain and update statutory registers and governance documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
Coordinate communication between board members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to governance policies and procedures, providing guidance where necessary.
Assist with the organisation of annual general meetings and other statutory events.
Support the implementation of governance best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a governance, administrative, or secretarial role, ideally within a public sector or non-profit environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
Knowledge of governance frameworks, statutory requirements, and best practices.
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Professional certification in governance or secretarial practice.
