The successful Preconstruction Project Manager / Bid Manager will play a key role in securing and delivering projects, managing schemes from tender stage through pre-construction and into site mobilisation. Working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams, you will help drive successful bids and ensure projects are handed over efficiently to the delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead projects through the pre-construction phase.
* Manage bid programmes and tender submissions.
* Coordinate design teams, consultants and internal stakeholders.
* Carry out buildability reviews and value engineering exercises.
* Support procurement strategy and project planning.
* Ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to project delivery.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Preconstruction Project Manager, Bid Manager, Preconstruction Manager or similar role.
* Main contractor background.
* Experience managing projects through tender and pre-construction.
* Strong understanding of construction methodology, procurement and programme management.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience within commercial, education, healthcare, refurbishment or public sector projects would be advantageous.
