How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Join a prestigious automotive brand as a Performance Analyst within the Used Car team at their Farnborough Head Office.

    This is an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical expertise, methodical approach, and keen eye for detail within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in analysing performance data, identifying trends, and supporting informed business decisions that drive operational success.
    This full-time position offers a 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working opportunities available.

    Your Time at Work

    As a Used Cars Performance Analyst, your role will encompass:

    - Support Used Car reporting, including monthly performance scorecard analysis and tracking sales and stock measures across BMW UK, Alphabet, and BMW Financial Services.
    - Provide insight to help inform decisions that enhance sales, profitability, and retailer performance.
    - Help create new reports, using internal and external data sources to support comprehensive data collection and analysis.
    - Provide timely analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases associated with the Used Car Strategy, assisting the Used Car Director and Remarketing Manager.
    - Prepare and share key analysis, results, and potential solutions relating to the UK Used Car business and market findings for review by senior management.
    - Contribute to the design, modelling, and implementation of data warehouse architecture. Use this data to help develop online dashboards and visualisations using business intelligence software like QuickSight.
    - Support consistent Used Car performance reporting across BMW UK, Alphabet, and BMW Financial Services, helping submit information to BMW Group headquarters to monitor agreed targets.
    - Support cross-company initiatives, helping ensure timely delivery in line with project milestones.
    - Help plan and organise key projects such as Used Car Forum topics, strategic ambitions, and local priorities.
    - Build effective relationships locally and with headquarters to support shared interests and contribute to cross-department pilot schemes and initiatives.
    - Support the development and implementation of governance and post-implementation evaluation processes to help ensure strategic objectives are met.
    - Support data stewardship activities for the Used Car Remarketing Data Cloud in the UK.

    Essential Skills

    - Strong academic background.
    - Excellent analytical and communication skills.
    - Ability to identify business connections and understand processes quickly.
    - Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
    - Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.
    - Advanced proficiency in Excel.
    - Strong presentation and reporting skills, including PowerPoint.

    Desirable Skills

    - Experience using business intelligence tools such as QuickSight.
    - Experience with data warehousing, dashboard development, or data visualisation.
    - Experience within the automotive, financial services, or commercial sector.
    - Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems.
