As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, supporting the delivery team and gaining valuable experience on a large-scale development.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation and administration of contract documentation.
* Preparing and managing post-contract enquiries.
* Assessing and valuing contract variations.
* Preparing, reviewing, and agreeing schedules.
* Managing the financial and contractual aspects of subcontractor accounts.
* Issuing contractual notices and evaluating loss and expense or acceleration claims.
* Producing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates in response to enquiries.
* Building strong relationships and liaising effectively with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience within the construction industry or a relevant trade background.
* Academic qualifications relevant to Quantity Surveying or the construction sector.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work to a structured plan.
* A proactive attitude and genuine ambition to develop a long-term career in commercial management.
