How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    AV Engineer & Event Technician

    About the Role

My client is a quantitative trading firm with offices in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam. They bring a collaborative and detail-oriented approach to everything they do. The Unified Communications team supports how the clients’ teams connect and communicate - from day-to-day meeting room technology to large-scale firm events. We're looking for a skilled AV engineer & event specialist to join us on a contract basis and help deliver high-quality AV experiences across the London office, supporting everything from break-fix maintenance and troubleshooting to live event production.

You'll be hands-on with event setup, live support, and teardown for a range of events - from town halls and presentations to social gatherings and client-facing meetings. You'll work alongside the clients' UC team, troubleshooting in real time and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This role spans event support, meeting room maintenance, inventory management, technology refresh projects, and ongoing technical operations.

My client values people who are resourceful, calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering a polished result. If you enjoy the buzz of live events and care about getting the details right, we'd love to hear from you. This role is permanently based at my client's offices in EC2M, and the salary on offer is budgeted at circa 50K and will be based upon experience.
