How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Digital Print & Technical Project Manager to lead our digital print operations while driving continuous improvement across our digital workflows, customer experience, and production technology.

    This is a hands-on leadership role that combines responsibility for the day-to-day management of our HP Indigo digital print department with the planning and delivery of digital projects that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between production, commercial teams, and technology, ensuring operational excellence while supporting future growth and innovation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Digital Print Operations

    Lead the daily operations of the digital print department, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.

    Manage and develop a team of digital press operators and production staff.

    Schedule and prioritise production to meet customer deadlines and business objectives.

    Monitor print quality, colour consistency, and workflow performance across all digital production.

    Oversee preventative maintenance of HP Indigo presses and associated finishing equipment to minimise downtime.

    Ensure compliance with company quality standards, health & safety procedures, and production best practices.

    Technical Project & Workflow Management

    Lead digital transformation and workflow improvement initiatives across the production environment.

    Develop and manage project plans, digital roadmaps, and implementation schedules.

    Work closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical production and technology solutions.

    Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and customer experience throughout the production lifecycle.

    Define project objectives, success criteria, and deliverables while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

    Analyse production data and KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

    Collaborate with software vendors and technology partners to implement new systems and process enhancements.

    Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement

    Ensure digital workflows support an exceptional customer experience from order through to delivery.

    Work with commercial teams to improve service levels and production capabilities.

    Champion innovation by evaluating emerging print technologies, software, and automation solutions.

    Support the implementation of new products, services, and production processes.

    Skills & Experience

    Significant experience managing a digital print production environment.

    Strong working knowledge of HP Indigo digital presses, colour management, and digital print workflows.

    Previous experience leading production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Experience managing technical or digital improvement projects.

    Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimisation.

    Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    Commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational performance and customer expectations.

    Experience working within Agile or similar project management methodologies would be advantageous.

    Understanding of digital customer journeys, UX principles, or production software integration would be beneficial.

    Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
