How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Tutor

Are you a passionate and dedicated tutor looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Tutors to join our growing team, delivering high-quality, personalised tuition to primary and secondary school students across Liverpool.

    About the SEN Tutor Role:

As an SEN Tutor, you will provide one-to-one tuition in core subjects to students who are working below age-related expectations and have a range of additional learning needs. Tuition will take place in students' homes, local libraries, and community centres, depending on individual requirements.

You will create engaging, tailored learning sessions that build confidence, develop key skills, and help students achieve their academic potential.

    Responsibilities of a SEN Tutor:

    *

Deliver one-to-one tuition in Maths, English, and/or Science.

    *

Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.

    *

Support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other barriers to learning.

    *

Monitor progress and provide feedback where required.

    *

Build positive relationships with students, families, and professionals.

    *

Maintain accurate session records and uphold safeguarding standards.

    What we are looking for:

    *

A qualification in Maths, English, or Science, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or significant tutoring experience.

    *

Experience supporting primary and/or secondary-aged students.

    *

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    *

The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

    *

A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach.

    *

Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.

    *

    Experience delivering one-to-one tuition.

    *

    Knowledge of the National Curriculum.

    What We Offer

    *

Flexible working hours to suit your availability (10–20 hours per week).

    *

    Competitive rates of pay.

    *

A rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact on students' education and confidence.

    *

Ongoing support from a friendly and experienced team.

    *

Opportunities to increase hours as demand grows.

If you're committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you
