How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Potato Stores Team Member
Billingham (Home of McCoy’s, Wheat Crunchies, Pom-Bear and more…)
    Shift: double days

    Join our snack-loving team
We’re looking for a Team Member to join us at KP Snacks. If you’re ready to bring your ideas to the table, grow your skills and be part of a team that values what makes you, you – this could be your next big move.

    About the role

As a Potato Stores Team Member, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our raw material and warehouse processes, helping to keep production running around the clock. Working as part of a high-performing team, you'll be responsible for safely managing stock movements, supporting goods in and out activities, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and hygiene.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple operational areas, contribute to continuous improvement activities and take ownership of important site processes, including stock control and oil management.

    What’s in it for you?
We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:

Competitive annual salary, plus KP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions

25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days for more flexibility

Comprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme

KP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback, wellbeing tools and everyday savings

Enhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life

    What will you be doing?

Managing stock movement across the site
Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load and unload vehicles, move materials and ensure the timely supply of stock to support production.

Taking ownership of key operational processes
Managing oil deliveries, carrying out measurements and completing accurate documentation to support production and compliance requirements.

Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and hygiene
Ensuring all activities are completed in line with site procedures, contributing to a safe, clean and efficient working environment.

Supporting stock control and warehouse operations
Helping to maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels and ensure goods are correctly received, stored and dispatched.

    Driving continuous improvement
Working collaboratively with colleagues to identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and enhance operational performance.

    Who are we?
We’re KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family. Across more than 30 countries, over 15,000 of us work together to make the snacks people love – from Hula Hoops to McCoy’s. In the UK, we’re a team of around 2,400 colleagues, based across seven sites and our Slough HQ. We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.

    We’re committed to inclusion
We’re building a workplace where everyone belongs. If you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you – your unique perspective could be just what we need. And if there’s anything we can do to make the process easier for you, just let us know.

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:

    Strong organisational skills
The ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload effectively within a fast-paced operational environment.

    FLT experience
A valid FLT licence and practical experience operating forklift trucks safely and effectively within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or similar environment

    Warehouse or operational experience
Experience within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or similar environment, or transferable skills that would support success in the role.

A willingness to learn and develop
An enthusiasm for building new skills and knowledge, with training and development provided to support your growth.

A commitment to safety and quality
A focus on following procedures, maintaining standards and ensuring work is completed safely and accurately.
