How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced senior leader from a waste management / a recycling background looking to join a successful organisation where you can take full ownership of business performance, operational delivery and commercial growth?

    Brilliant opportunity on offer to join an established waste management / recycling industry and growing business that can offer autonomy, long-term stability and the opportunity to lead a successful regional operation with full responsibility for performance and development.

    In this role you will have full responsibility for the leadership, financial performance and operational success of the business. Working with local management teams and wider group functions, you will drive commercial growth, improve operational efficiency and ensure the business continues to deliver exceptional standards of service, compliance and customer satisfaction.

    This is an ideal role for an experienced General Manager, Operations Director or senior business leader from a waste management / recycling background looking for a high-autonomy position where they can make a significant impact and lead future growth.

    THE ROLE:
    * Taking full ownership of P&L performance, budgets and overall business delivery
    * Leading operational teams across logistics, service delivery, compliance and customer performance
    * Developing and executing business plans to improve revenue, efficiency and profitability
    * Managing regulatory compliance, health & safety standards and operational performance
    * Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders while driving continuous improvement

    THE PERSON:
    * From a Waste Management / Recycling background
    * Senior leadership experience within waste management, logistics, transport, environmental services or a similar operational industry
    * Proven experience managing a significant P&L and delivering business improvement
    * Strong understanding of transport operations, compliance and regulated environments
    * Commercially focused with the ability to balance growth, service and operational efficiency
    * Confident leading autonomously while developing teams and driving long-term success
