About the Role
Our client are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join their growing team delivering a range of civil engineering projects in Hunterston. Working as part of an established civil engineering contractor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of groundworks, roads, drainage, and sewer infrastructure projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Setting out works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Managing and maintaining accurate site records, including QA documentation and as-built information.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Liaising with site management, subcontractors, clients, and design teams.
Carrying out surveys and interpreting engineering drawings.
Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Identifying and resolving engineering and technical issues on site.
Supporting the commercial and project management teams with progress records and measurements.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Experience working as a Site Engineer within the civil engineering sector.
Proven experience delivering groundworks, roads, drainage, and sewer projects.
Proficiency in setting out using GPS and robotic total station equipment.
A good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quality assurance processes.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative site team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
CSCS Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Experience using surveying equipment and engineering software.
Desirable
SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
First Aid at Work.
Temporary Works awareness.
Experience working on infrastructure or utilities projects.
