How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Manager - Infrastructure

    (Hybrid Working & UK wide travel)

    Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in gas or utility infrastructure?

    We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK infrastructure contractor that is expanding its Energy Infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering critical utility projects across the UK.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth across gas infrastructure frameworks, developing strategic client relationships and securing new work within an established and growing market.

    Responsibilities

    * Identify and develop new business opportunities across gas infrastructure and utility frameworks.

    * Build and maintain relationships with utility companies, developers, asset owners and framework partners.

    * Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to successful contract award.

    * Support bid and tender submissions alongside commercial and estimating teams.

    * Monitor framework opportunities, procurement activity and market trends.

    * Maintain CRM pipeline reporting and sales forecasting.

    * Support strategic growth initiatives across the wider energy infrastructure business.

    Requirements

    * Minimum 5 years' Business Development experience within gas, utilities or energy infrastructure.

    * Strong understanding of UK utility procurement and framework agreements.

    * Proven experience winning framework and repeat business opportunities.

    * Experience working with bid and estimating teams.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    Essential Experience

    Applicants must have experience winning or developing opportunities on high-value infrastructure projects (£25m+), ideally within the utilities or energy infrastructure sector.
