How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    College Special Needs Assistant, Maida Vale, London

    Full-Time | One Academic Year (ASAP Start)

    Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young adults with special educational needs? We are seeking a College Special Needs Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing College special needs College in Maida Vale, London. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

    Key Details:

    Start Date: ASAP

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

    Contract: Fixed term for one academic year (with potential to transition to permanent staff)

    Pay: £475 to £600 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)

    Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with autism and complex needs

    Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and life skills development

    Support students in managing sensory, communication, and behavioural challenges

    Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each student progresses

    Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

    Requirements:

    Experience working with children or young people with autism and complex needs

    Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting diverse learners

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

    A proactive, resilient, and adaptable attitude

    Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

    Desirable:

    Knowledge of autism-specific strategies, such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory integration techniques

    Experience in a special needs school or educational setting
