How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing role where no two days are quite the same?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established production business seeking a reliable and proactive Mill & Production Operative to join their operation. This is a varied role that combines production, materials handling, quality checks and machine operation within a busy manufacturing environment.

This position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is comfortable working around industrial machinery as part of a close-knit team.

    The Role

    Duties will include:

Receiving and preparing raw materials for production

Supporting manufacturing processes and ensuring products meet quality standards

Operating production equipment and monitoring processes

Conducting routine quality checks and recording production information

Moving materials and finished goods around site using a Counterbalance Forklift

Assisting with equipment checks, cleaning schedules and general housekeeping

Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe working environment

Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved

    About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

    You will have:

A valid national Counterbalance Forklift licence

Previous manufacturing, production, processing or industrial experience

Experience working around machinery or automated equipment

Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures

Good attention to detail and quality standards

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A positive, reliable and hardworking approach

Own transport due to location and start time

    What's On Offer?

    Permanent, full-time opportunity

    Monday to Friday working pattern

Early finish to the working day

    Stable, long-established employer

    Full training provided

    Supportive team environment

    Long-term career prospects

If you're looking for a role where you'll be a key part of the manufacturing operation rather than simply operating a forklift, we'd love to hear from you.
