Maintenance Engineer

A large food manufacturer are seeking a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer, to join thier engineering team. Working within a state of environment conducting routiene and reactive maintenance on food processing machinery. The role offers an career stability working for business that offers excellent training and development. 

Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off - Working hour 5am till 5pm & 12 noon till 12 Midnight

Salary £40,000 to £45,000 plus Benefits 

What You Will Do:

- Deliver planned preventative maintenance to keep equipment reliable and production flowing.

-Respond quickly to breakdowns across the factory, identifying likely root causes and suggesting improvements to reduce repeat issues.

- Work closely with the operations team and communicate unscheduled downtime effectively to minimise disruption.

- Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and good engineering practice.

- Raise stock and non-stock request forms as needed and follow the escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime.

What You Will Bring:

- An Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering, plus an NVQ Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering (military equivalents will be considered).

- 4+ years of engineering experience, with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background, including fault-finding ability.

- Electrical or welding/fabrication experience and practical mechanical fitting skills.

- Confidence working with process machinery and carrying out maintenance to a professional standard.

- A motivated, adaptable approach with strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a timeline-driven environment.
