The successful EC&I Engineer will join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering innovative solutions across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and front-end engineering through to detailed design and commissioning support.
The Role
As an EC&I Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
Delivering electrical, control and instrumentation engineering solutions across energy and industrial projects
Producing EC&I designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
Developing control philosophies, instrument schedules and electrical design packages
Supporting projects through feasibility, FEED, detailed design and commissioning phases
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients
Providing technical support throughout project delivery
Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and client requirements
Supporting site visits, engineering reviews and technical meetings where requiredThis EC&I Engineer position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects across multiple energy sectors.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an EC&I Engineer with strong technical capability and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Ideally you'll have:
Previous experience as an EC&I Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Control & Instrumentation Engineer or Instrument Engineer
Experience delivering projects within the energy, industrial or process sectors
Strong understanding of electrical, control and instrumentation systems
Experience producing technical documentation and engineering calculations
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related disciplineThe following would be advantageous:
Experience within oil & gas, offshore, hydrogen, carbon capture or renewable energy projects
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
Consultancy experience
Knowledge of relevant UK and international engineering standardsCandidates from a broad range of energy and industrial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
