Location: Sowerby Bridge
Pay: £13.50 p/h, rising to £15.61 after successful probation
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week) -
Following the successful completion of the 12-week probation period, you may move onto a weekly rotating shift pattern:
Early: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Late: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
The Role:
Stafflex are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer for a Production Operative to join their team in Sowerby Bridge.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that manufactures large products. Full training will be provided, making this a great role for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career.
Working as part of an experienced production team, you will be involved in the manufacture of specialist components using industrial machinery and production equipment.
Duties will include:
Operating production machinery and manufacturing equipment
Working to production schedules and quality standards
Using hand tools and measuring equipment, including vernier gauges and tape measures
Handling materials safely and following health and safety procedures
Completing basic production records using computer systems
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the production areaWe're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Is hardworking, reliable and eager to learn
Can work independently as well as part of a team
Has good numeracy and literacy skills
Has basic computer skills
Can use hand tools and measuring equipment
Has a stable work history with a strong work ethicDesirable:
Experience working with chemicals or industrial manufacturing processes
Experience operating large machinery such as presses, moulds or similar equipment
