How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Product Designer
    Manchester | Hybrid (3 days per week onsite) - Permanent Employment
    £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare

    Looking for a role where you'll genuinely own products from idea through to launch?

    We're working with a growing, PE-backed consumer business whose products are used by millions of members across the UK.

    Their Product and UX team has grown significantly over the last few years, and they're now looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the next generation of digital experiences across multiple consumer brands.

    This isn't a role where you'll only focus on research.

    It isn't a role where you'll simply maintain a design system.

    And it isn't a people management position.

    Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys owning the entire Product Design lifecycle - from understanding customer problems through to delivering beautifully crafted digital experiences, measuring their success and continuously improving them.

    You'll also play an important role in mentoring other designers, helping raise the quality of design across the team whilst remaining hands-on yourself.

    What makes this opportunity different?

    You'll have genuine ownership.

    You'll work alongside Product Managers, Engineers, CRO and Data teams to solve real customer problems - not simply take requirements and design screens.

    You'll be trusted to challenge ideas, influence product direction and create experiences that have a measurable impact on both customers and the business.

    If you enjoy seeing your work go live, analysing how it's performing and continuously improving it, you'll fit in well here.

    What you'll be doing

    As a Senior Product Designer you'll own customer journeys from discovery through to optimisation, including:

    * Understanding business objectives and customer problems.

    * Discovery, competitor analysis and customer research.

    * Using behavioural data, analytics and customer insight to identify opportunities.

    * Forming hypotheses and validating ideas through experimentation, including A/B testing, heatmaps and usability testing.

    * Designing end-to-end customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes and polished, high-fidelity user interfaces.

    * Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout implementation.

    * Measuring success after launch using customer and commercial metrics before continuously iterating and improving the experience.

    * Helping evolve an existing design system to maintain consistency across products.

    * Mentoring other designers through collaboration, design critiques and sharing best practice.

    About you

    We're looking for an experienced Product Designer who has owned products from discovery through to delivery and can confidently talk through the decisions, challenges and outcomes behind your work.

    You'll ideally be able to demonstrate experience of:

    * Solving genuine customer and business problems.

    * Discovery, competitor analysis and user research.

    * Using analytics and behavioural insight to inform design decisions.

    * Experimentation through A/B testing, heatmaps, usability testing or similar validation methods.

    * Creating exceptional UI with a strong eye for typography, layout, interaction design and accessibility.

    * Working collaboratively with Product and Engineering throughout delivery.

    * Measuring the impact of your work and iterating based on evidence rather than opinion.

    * Mentoring or supporting other designers to help raise standards across the team.

    Experience within eCommerce, retail, loyalty, membership, subscription or other consumer-facing digital products would be particularly beneficial.

    Why join?

    This is a business where Product Design has a genuine seat at the table.

    You'll have the opportunity to influence products used by millions of people, work alongside experienced Product and Engineering teams, and continue developing your own craft whilst helping others develop theirs.

    If you're looking for a role where you can combine end-to-end Product Design, strong UI craft, experimentation and mentoring - all within a collaborative and fast-moving environment - we'd love to hear from you.

    Package

    * £60,000 to £70,000

    * Bonus

    * Hybrid working (3 days per week onsite in Manchester)

    * 28 days holiday plus bank holidays

    * 4% employer pension contribution

    * Private Medical Insurance

    * Annual personal development budget

    If this sounds of interest and you'd like to understand more then please send your CV and/or Portfolio. If they are still a working progress, don't wait - still reach out
