About the Role
We are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our production team in Sparkford.
You'll be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components from stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality assemblies. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork are key.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Measure, prepare and assemble components ready for welding
Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
Set up welding equipment and select the correct welding method for each job
Align and fabricate components to specification
Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met
Complete work orders accurately using the company's ERP system
Follow production schedules and work to daily priorities
Carry out routine equipment checks and maintain a safe working environment
Support continuous improvement across the production team
Assist with other production duties when requiredAbout You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated and takes pride in producing quality work.
You'll have:
Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding
Experience welding stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
Fabrication experience, including reading engineering drawings and assembling components
Knowledge of appropriate welding materials and techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
A proactive approach with excellent timekeeping and attendanceDesirable
Welding qualifications or professional certification
