How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Help Build a Safer Workplace Every Day

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client to recruit an H&S Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business where health and safety is a key part of operational success. You'll have the opportunity to support positive change, influence safe working practices and help create an environment where people can perform at their best.

As H&S Coordinator, you'll work closely with operational teams and site leadership to promote a proactive safety culture, strengthen compliance and support continuous improvement across the site. This is a varied role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact through coaching, analysis and practical support.

    The Opportunity:
As an H&S Coordinator you'll play a key role in:
    • Supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of the site's Health & Safety programme across all operational areas.
    • Working alongside managers to embed safe working practices, monitor performance and encourage ownership of Health & Safety responsibilities.
    • Analysing Health & Safety data including near misses, hazard reports, observations and incidents, providing meaningful insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Coordinating Health & Safety training, audits and awareness activities while supporting colleagues to develop their knowledge and confidence.
    • Maintaining Health & Safety documentation, records and reporting systems to ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
Your work will directly contribute to strengthening the site's safety culture, supporting compliance and helping to deliver continuous improvements across the business.

    About You:
We're looking for someone who can bring:
    • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment, with an understanding of operational processes and workplace safety.
    • A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, or the willingness to work towards one.
    • Experience supporting audits, delivering training or promoting Health & Safety best practice within an operational environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend practical improvements.
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage colleagues and build positive working relationships at every level.
    • Good organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting accurately.
    • A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours and encourage continuous improvement.
Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, processing or another industrial environment would be advantageous.

    The Benefits and Package:
    In return, you'll enjoy:
    • Competitive salary.
    • Defined contribution company pension scheme.
    • 27 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
    • Life Assurance.
    • Comprehensive company sick pay scheme.
    • Health Cash Plan.
    • Employee Assistance Programme.
    • Standby and call out payments where applicable.
    • Enhanced family friendly benefits.
    • Ongoing training, learning and career development opportunities.
    • A business that values wellbeing, continuous improvement and professional development.
