How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are a well-established supplier of high-quality windows, doors, glazing and associated building products, serving trade professionals, installers, developers and commercial customers across the UK. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability and customer service, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored solutions for projects of all sizes. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Order Processor to join our busy operations team.

    The Role

As an Order Processor, you will play a key role in ensuring customer projects are delivered accurately and on time. You will be responsible for processing quotations and orders for a wide range of uPVC, aluminium and glazing products, working closely with customers, account managers, production teams and suppliers.

This is a technical, customer-focused position that requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to interpret product specifications and technical drawings. You will support customers throughout the ordering process, ensuring products are manufactured to the correct specifications and delivered within agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will become a trusted point of contact for customers, providing technical guidance, resolving queries and helping to deliver an outstanding customer experience from enquiry through to project completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Process customer orders accurately for windows, doors, glazing, roof systems, bi-fold doors and associated products.

    * Prepare detailed quotations based on customer specifications and project requirements.

    * Interpret technical drawings, schedules and customer specifications to ensure manufacturing accuracy.

    * Provide technical advice on products, glazing options, hardware and system configurations.

    * Liaise with customers to confirm dimensions, specifications, delivery requirements and any amendments.

    * Work closely with the sales, estimating, production and purchasing departments to ensure projects run smoothly.

    * Monitor customer orders throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring deadlines are achieved.

    * Resolve order discrepancies, technical queries and customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.

    * Update and maintain customer records using internal order processing and ERP systems.

    * Ensure all orders comply with current product specifications and industry standards.

    * Coordinate with logistics teams to arrange deliveries and communicate lead times to customers.

    * Support account managers by providing technical assistance and processing project documentation.

    * Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout every stage of their project.

    * Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

    Skills & Experience

    Essential

    * Previous experience within the window, door, glazing or fenestration industry.

    * Experience processing technical orders in a manufacturing or trade environment.

    * Strong understanding of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems.

    * Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    * High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    * Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.

    * Competent using Microsoft Office and order processing software.

    * Ability to read technical drawings and product specifications.

    Desirable

    * Experience using Business Micros (Evolution), LogiKal or similar fenestration software.

    * Knowledge of glazing specifications and Building Regulations.

    * Experience working with trade customers, installers or fabricators.

    * Technical product knowledge of roof lanterns, bi-fold doors, composite doors and curtain walling.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and takes pride in producing accurate work. You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys solving problems, building customer relationships and working as part of a collaborative team.

If you have experience within the window, door and glazing industry and are looking to join a growing business where you can make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you
