How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Head of Ecommerce & Social Commerce (US) | Greater Manchester | £Competitive

Zachary Daniels Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing consumer brand to recruit a Head of Ecommerce & Social Commerce (US).

    About the Business

Our client is a high-growth, digitally-led consumer brand with ambitious international expansion plans. Following continued success, they are looking to appoint a Head of Ecommerce & Social Commerce (US) to lead the commercial performance of their largest international market.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a rapidly growing US digital business, shaping ecommerce strategy, accelerating customer acquisition and driving profitable growth across ecommerce and social commerce channels.

    The Role

As Head of Ecommerce & Social Commerce (US), you'll be responsible for leading the commercial performance of the US online business, owning the digital trading strategy across ecommerce, social commerce, CRM and customer acquisition.

This is a broad leadership role that combines hands-on ecommerce trading with performance marketing and social commerce, ensuring the US business continues to scale profitably while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll use data, customer insight and commercial thinking to identify growth opportunities, optimise trading performance and continually evolve the digital proposition for the US market.

    Key Responsibilities

Own the commercial performance and P&L of the US ecommerce business.

Lead the digital trading strategy across ecommerce and social commerce channels.

Drive customer acquisition, conversion and retention through data-led decision making.

Develop CRM and lifecycle marketing strategies to increase customer lifetime value.

Optimise onsite performance, merchandising and customer experience for the US customer.

Lead social commerce initiatives, creator partnerships and digital campaigns that drive engagement and sales.

Work closely with internal teams and external partners to maximise commercial performance.

Champion innovation across ecommerce technology, AI and emerging digital platforms.

Lead and develop a high-performing digital team while influencing wider commercial strategy.

    What We're Looking For

The successful Head of Ecommerce & Social Commerce (US) will bring proven experience leading ecommerce growth within a fast-paced retail, consumer or D2C business.

You'll combine strong commercial awareness with experience trading internationally, with exposure to the US market or global ecommerce operations.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Senior leadership experience across ecommerce, digital trading or social commerce.

Ownership of commercial performance, online trading and digital growth.

Strong understanding of customer acquisition, CRM and lifecycle marketing.

Experience optimising ecommerce performance through data and customer insight.

Knowledge of paid media, social commerce and digital marketing.

Strong commercial and analytical capability with P&L responsibility.

Experience managing agencies, creators and strategic partners.

A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across multiple functions.

    Why Apply?

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile international market within a fast-growing consumer brand. You'll have genuine influence over the US digital strategy, the autonomy to introduce new ideas and the opportunity to play a key role in the next phase of the company's international growth.

If you're passionate about ecommerce, digital trading and scaling brands internationally, we'd love to hear from you.
