How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Window Fitter - Carpenter - Multi-Skilled Operative

    Salary: £39,000 - £42,000, per annum (DOE)
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

    We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established installation and maintenance company in Witney that is known for delivering high-quality workmanship across domestic and commercial properties.With a strong pipeline of work and opportunities for long-term career development, this is an excellent chance to join a supportive and growing team.

    Responsibilities:

    As part of the service team, you will be responsible for carrying out installations, repairs and maintenance across a range of domestic and commercial projects.

    Your duties will include:
    . Installing, repairing and maintaining windows and doors.
    . Fitting uPVC, aluminium, composite and timber products.
    . Carrying out glazing, hardware replacements and remedial repairs.
    . Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and complies with Health & Safety and Building Regulations.
    . Providing excellent customer service while maintaining a professional approach on-site.
    . Keeping work areas clean, organised and accurately completing job records

    The ideal applicant will have experience in a trade such as:
    . Window fitting or glazing.
    . Carpentry or joinery.
    . Multi-skilled maintenance.
    . Installation or service engineering.
