Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Systems Engineer - V&V & Certification to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on the verification, validation, and certification of the Land Ceptor weapon system, crucial for ensuring the functionality and delivery of this advanced defence technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Capturing and reviewing evidence as part of the certification team
Conducting technical investigations to support the delivery of Certificate of Designs
Reviewing technical documentation in support of functional evidence
Reviewing and agreeing Design Verification Plans (DVP)
Engaging in design reconciliation activities associated with design changes and obsolescence
Collaborating within a multi-discipline engineering team (e.g., systems, mechanical, electrical, software)
Identifying verification gaps, tracking issues, and supporting corrective actions
Preparing and reviewing compliance documentation, verification reports, and evidence to support certification activities
Job Requirements:
Experience in Systems V&V and Systems Engineering within the Defence & Security sector
Proficiency in IBM Rational Doors Classic
Ability to analyse evidence and assess compliance against requirements
Strong knowledge of Verification & Validation (V&V) processes and methodologies
Experience in preparing compliance documentation and certification evidence
Capability to work effectively within a multi-discipline engineering team
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication skills to support collaborative efforts
Contract Details:
Initial 12-month contract
3 days onsite in Bristol per week (rest remote)
Security Clearance: SC, can start on BPSS (UKEO)
