This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
* Provide day-to-day health, safety and environmental support across the manufacturing site.
* Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, engagement and visible leadership.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections.
* Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
* Support compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
* Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to employees.
* Monitor KPIs and prepare HSE reports for management.
* Assist with emergency planning, contractor management and environmental initiatives.
* Work collaboratively with managers to continuously improve HSE performance.
About You
* Previous experience in an HSE Advisor, Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within manufacturing, process engineering, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food production, energy or another industrial environment.
* NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (Diploma desirable but not essential).
* Good understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
* Experience carrying out risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
* Strong communication and influencing skills with the confidence to engage employees at all levels.
* A proactive, practical approach to improving workplace safety.
