How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Anderson Knight Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing UK-based manufacturing business that is investing significantly in its people, operational excellence, and future capability. Operating within a technical and fast-paced environment, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking a Training & Development Lead to drive its learning strategy and build a high-performing workforce.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that genuinely recognises the value of developing its people and views learning and development as a critical enabler of long-term success.

    The Role

As Training & Development Lead, you will take ownership of the organisation's learning and development agenda, shaping and delivering a training strategy that supports business objectives, operational performance, and employee growth.

Working closely with leaders across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and support functions, you will identify capability gaps, design impactful development programmes, and implement learning initiatives that enhance individual and organisational performance.

This is a highly visible role that combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery. You will lead the development of a structured learning culture, establish best practices in training and development, and ensure employees at all levels have access to the skills, knowledge, and opportunities required to succeed.

Reporting into the HR leadership team, you will play a key role in developing future talent pipelines, supporting succession planning, and embedding continuous improvement through learning.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop and implement the organisation's learning and development strategy

    * Partner with senior leaders and managers to identify current and future capability requirements

    * Conduct training needs analyses and build development plans aligned to business objectives

    * Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging learning programmes across technical, operational, leadership, and professional skills areas

    * Lead and coordinate all internal and external training activity across the business

    * Develop career pathways, talent development initiatives, and succession planning frameworks

    * Create, review, and enhance training materials, learning resources, and development programmes

    * Manage relationships with external training providers

    * Monitor training effectiveness through reporting, feedback, and performance metrics

    * Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry training requirements

    * Promote a culture of continuous learning, development, and knowledge sharing

    * Stay current with learning technologies, training methodologies, and industry best practice

    About You

We are looking for an ambitious and passionate learning professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys making a tangible impact on workforce capability and performance.

You will ideally have experience in:

    * A Training & Development Lead, Learning & Development Adviser, Learning Partner, or similar role

    * Developing and delivering learning strategies within manufacturing, engineering, production, or technical environments

    * Designing and implementing a wide range of learning and development programmes

    * Leadership development, talent management, succession planning, and workforce capability initiatives

    * Facilitating training workshops and development programmes for diverse audiences

    * Working with stakeholders at all levels to drive engagement and development outcomes

    * Managing training budgets, providers, learning systems, and reporting metrics

You will be a confident communicator with strong influencing skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organisation. A proactive and innovative approach, combined with excellent organisational skills and a passion for developing people, will be key to success in this role.

A qualification in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, or a related discipline would be advantageous. Professional qualifications such as CIPD, CIPD Learning & Development, TAP, ILM, or equivalent are also desirable.

    The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal stage of its development. You will have the chance to shape the future of learning and development across the business, influence organisational capability, and make a lasting impact on employee growth, engagement, and performance.

If you are passionate about developing people, driving organisational capability, and building a culture where learning thrives, please get in touch
