How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Supply Teacher (Secondary, Primary, or SEN/SEMH) - Fenland Area (Wisbech, King's Lynn & Surrounding Areas)

Are you a passionate and adaptable teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students? Whether you have experience in secondary education, primary schools, or working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, we'd love to hear from you!

At Aspire People, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional educational support to schools across the Fenland area. We are currently seeking Supply Teachers who are proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to join our growing network. With opportunities for both daily cover and long-term placements, this role offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to have a lasting impact.

    About the Role:

Location: Fenland area (including Wisbech, King's Lynn, and surrounding areas).

Type: Flexible, with opportunities for daily cover and long-term placements.

Subjects/Areas: Secondary, Primary, and SEN/SEMH roles available (you don't need to do all, but flexibility is a bonus!).

    Start Date: Immediate starts available.

    What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable, but we are also open to applications from those with relevant experience or working towards QTS.

Proactive and Adaptable: You should be able to quickly adapt to different classrooms, build strong relationships with students and staff, and keep students engaged in their learning.

Relationship Builder: Ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with students, particularly those with additional needs.

Full Driving Licence: While not essential, having a driving licence is a plus due to the travel requirements in the Fenland area.

SEN Experience: Experience working with children with SEMH or other special needs would be advantageous but not a requirement.

    Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects (depending on your experience and preferences).

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Adapt to different school settings and respond to the varying needs of students.

Build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

    Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.

Provide feedback to students and schools to help ensure the best possible learning outcomes.

    Why Join Aspire People?

Flexible Opportunities: Choose between daily cover or long-term placements based on your availability and preferences.

Competitive Pay: We offer excellent pay rates and weekly pay, so you're rewarded for your hard work.

Ongoing Support: You'll be supported by a dedicated consultant who will match you with the right schools and offer continuous guidance.

Referral Scheme: Know someone who would be a great fit? Refer them to Aspire People and receive a £250 referral voucher when they successfully join the network.

Impactful Work: Have a real and positive impact on students' lives, particularly those who need the most support.

Career Development: Aspire People is committed to helping you grow professionally, offering training and advice along the way.

    How to Apply:

If you're ready for a new challenge and are excited by the chance to make a difference in Fenland schools, we'd love to hear from you.
