We're looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Testing Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting a portfolio of critical commercial and industrial sites across the Manchester area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Test Engineer who enjoys a mobile role, carrying out inspection, testing, planned maintenance, and fault finding while ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
ā” What you'll be doing:
š§ Carrying out electrical inspection, testing, fault finding, and remedial works on LV distribution, final circuits, lighting, power, and HVAC systems
š Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20, BS7671, and industry best practices
šØ Responding to critical electrical faults and safety issues to minimise downtime
š Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), inspections, and testing in accordance with current regulations
āļø Preparing site surveys, risk assessments, and method statements for planned works
š» Maintaining accurate service reports, certification, and maintenance records
š¤ Liaising with customers, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure excellent service delivery
š” Identifying opportunities to improve system performance and maintenance processes
𦺠Working safely while following all Health & Safety and electrical safety procedures
š·āāļø What we're looking for:
š¹ City & Guilds Levels 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
š¹ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
š¹ City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing qualification
š¹ Experience carrying out electrical testing, inspection, and fault finding within commercial, industrial, or critical environments
š¹ Strong understanding of LV electrical distribution systems
š¹ Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and O&M manuals
š¹ Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and communication skills
š¹ Full UK Driving Licence
ā Desirable:
ā Experience working within Facilities Management or industrial environments
ā Knowledge of power system coordination and industrial electrical infrastructure
ā Experience preparing technical documentation including RAMS and work requests
