This is a varied, hands-on role where you will support the day-to-day production process, helping to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidate will be willing to learn, work well as part of a team, and take pride in producing quality work.
Their LEEDS-based facility is based just a few minutes from the M62 and M1 motorways, meaning the successful candidate will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities, including Wakefield, Bradford, Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
Key Responsibilities of the General Operative
Load, unload and move materials safely around the workshop and yard.
Prepare and organise products ready for storage, collection and delivery.
Keep the yard and work areas clean, tidy and safe.
Support stock control and carry out general labouring duties as required.
Work as part of a team to meet deadlines while following health and safety procedures.
I would be keen to speak to individuals who possess
Previous experience in a labouring, warehouse, yard operative or general operative role.
A hardworking and reliable attitude, with the ability to carry out physically demanding work.
Good awareness of health and safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a flexible approach to working indoors and outdoors.
Experience using power tools and an FLT and working with steel product range.
Working Hours of the General Operative
Monday- Thursday: 07:30-16:30
Friday- 07:30-12:30
In Return, the General Operative will receive
Hourly Rate: £14.05 Per Hour
Early finish on a Friday
