How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

How would you like a job where you are only work half of the year but get paid a full year, can take a three-week holiday but only use one week of annual leave and get to ride a motorbike, all while working for a Market Leading Company?

Our Keyguards (Motorbike Emergency Response Riders) are the super heroes of our business. They provide help and a first-class response service to our customers - which can include responding to alarm activations and securing properties, to delivering a forgotten passport to a stressed traveller at the airport; every shift offers a new challenge. So if this sounds like the perfect job, you may just be the person we are looking for to fulfil the role of a Key Guard at Banham

    Who are we?

Celebrating our Centenary, Banham is a family-owned, family-run business that has been providing security solutions since 1926. We operate throughout London and the Home Counties, offering a comprehensive service on all aspects of physical and electronic security. Most important, however, are the people who make up Banham. Our dedicated employees live and breathe collaboration; they inspire and learn from each other while upholding our standards of People, Service and Quality alongside our core values of Family, Pride and Trust. Employees who began their Banham careers as trainees now head our key departments, and we are proud to foster a working environment that encourages staff to stay with us for many years through continual training, internal mobility and development opportunities.

What can you bring to Banham?

You will be experienced, confident, and reliable with a drive to offer an outstanding response service as a Motorbike Emergency Response Rider (Key Guard). You'll also be flexible with a can-do attitude.

As a Class 2 Motorbike licence holder (minimum of 1 year for insurance purposes) you will be a skilled rider with a good knowledge of London roads and understand the challenges that riding in London presents. (Essential)

You are able to bring a positive and calm response, being the first to attend our client’s sites following specific requests, alarm activations or emergencies to investigate and secure the premises and stay if needed.

Good MS skills to enable report writing

Based from our Head Office, the role is predominantly on the road, with access to our showrooms and satellite offices.

NB - this is shift based work - working rotating week on week off 12hr shifts of nights and days. (Days 6am-6pm and Nights 6pm-6am)

What will you get in return?

You will be entitled to a competitive salary of £29,580 PA and a great range of benefits including:

    23 Shift days Annual Leave

Sick Pay that increases with length of service

£1000 Motorbike Clothing Kit annual allowance
