How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You'll become part of a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with complex additional needs, helping them build confidence, independence and essential life skills both inside and outside the classroom.

Rather than observing from the sidelines, you'll be actively involved in supporting students every day while learning from experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.

    About the School

This highly regarded specialist day school supports children and young people aged 6-19 with a range of additional needs, including:

    Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    ADHD
Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
    Communication and interaction needs
    Sensory processing differences
    Physical and medical needs
Social, emotional and mental health needs

The school takes a therapeutic, person-centred approach, creating an environment where every student is supported to achieve their own goals, develop independence and prepare for adulthood.

    Your Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support that enables every student to engage, progress and succeed.

    You'll be responsible for:

Supporting learning in the classroom and across the wider school environment
Encouraging communication, emotional regulation and social development
    Assisting with personalised learning programmes
Supporting outdoor learning and community-based activities
Promoting independence and everyday life skills
Building positive relationships with students and their families
Providing personal care and physical support where required
Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
    Who We're Looking For

This opportunity is ideal for Psychology graduates who are:

Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
Considering careers in psychology, education, therapy or mental health
    Calm, patient and resilient
Positive, proactive and eager to learn
Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communicators who can adapt to individual needs
Committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

Essential: Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).

    What You'll Gain

This role is designed to help you build meaningful experience while developing specialist knowledge in SEN and education.

    You'll benefit from:

Fully funded training and recognised qualifications
Hands-on experience working alongside therapists and specialist educators
Excellent preparation for postgraduate psychology or therapy pathways
Genuine opportunities to secure a permanent position and progress your career
A collaborative and supportive team environment
The opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people

If you're looking for a graduate role that offers far more than classroom experience, where every day brings new challenges, learning opportunities and the chance to have a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today with your up-to-date CV.
