Teacher of Design & Technology (DT) - Engineering Specialist Required

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Design & Technology (DT) to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield on a long-term basis, starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic DT teacher with the ability to deliver high-quality lessons across the Design & Technology curriculum, including Engineering at Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to inspiring students and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role

Full-time, long-term position starting in September.
Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Deliver Engineering to KS4 students.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Contribute positively to the wider school community and departmental activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Design & Technology within a UK secondary school.
The ability and confidence to teach Engineering at KS4.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A genuine passion for Design & Technology and raising student achievement.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
