How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

This Business Development Manager role is focused on developing and strengthening customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and identifying commercial opportunities across an established customer base.

Working closely with the General Manager, the Business Development Manager will become a trusted point of contact for customers, taking the time to understand their operations, future requirements, and business objectives. Through regular customer engagement, site visits, and relationship development, you will help ensure the business remains the supplier of choice whilst uncovering opportunities to increase account value and support long-term growth.

The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, identifying additional revenue opportunities, and ensuring a consistently high level of customer service. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to understand customer requirements and help deliver solutions that strengthen long-term partnerships.

Alongside account development activities, the Business Development Manager will also identify and pursue new opportunities within the market, helping to introduce the business to prospective customers and supporting wider growth initiatives.

This is a highly autonomous Business Development Manager position that would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, creating trust, and developing long-term partnerships rather than operating within a purely transactional sales environment.

    * Strong relationship-building and customer development skills

    * Experience managing and growing customer accounts

    * Ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing relationships

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

    * Commercially minded with a proactive approach

    * Experience within engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or technical sectors would be highly advantageous

    Why Should You Apply?

This Business Development Manager opportunity offers the chance to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business where relationships matter, autonomy is encouraged, and your contribution will directly influence future success.

The successful Business Development Manager will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, build meaningful customer partnerships, and play a key role in supporting the company's ambitious growth plans. If you enjoy developing accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and creating long-term commercial value, this Business Development Manager role offers an excellent opportunity to make a genuine impact
