How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Hyperion Partners is delighted to be working with a respected Housing Association in London to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a customer-focused organisation committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and delivering outstanding services to its residents.

    As Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation remains compliant with statutory and regulatory obligations across property safety and building compliance. Working closely with internal teams and external contractors, you will help deliver an effective compliance programme that puts resident safety at the heart of everything.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Monitor statutory compliance across key areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene (Legionella) and lifts.

    * Schedule, track and monitor compliance inspections, servicing and remedial works.

    * Ensure all compliance records, certification and documentation are accurate, up to date and audit-ready.

    * Liaise with contractors to ensure inspections and works are completed within agreed timescales.

    * Monitor contractor performance and escalate any compliance risks or overdue actions.

    * Produce compliance reports and performance information for managers and stakeholders.

    * Support internal and external audits and assist with regulatory inspections.

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues across Property Services and Asset Management to maintain high levels of compliance.

    * Respond to resident enquiries relating to compliance and building safety where required.

    * Ensure all activities are carried out in line with relevant legislation, organisational policies and health and safety requirements.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    * Previous experience in a Compliance Officer, Property Compliance or Building Safety role within a Housing Association, Local Authority or social housing environment.

    * A good understanding of statutory compliance within residential property.

    * Knowledge of compliance areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, Legionella and lifts.

    * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    * Strong administrative skills and experience maintaining accurate compliance records.

    * Confidence communicating with contractors, colleagues and residents.

    * Good analytical skills with experience producing compliance reports and monitoring performance.

    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using housing management or compliance management systems.

    * A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to resident safety.

    What's on Offer

    * Competitive salary.

    * Generous holiday entitlement.

    * Pension scheme.

    * Flexible and hybrid working opportunities (where applicable).

    * Ongoing training and professional development.

    * The opportunity to join a supportive and values-driven Housing Association making a genuine difference to communities across London.

    If you are an organised Compliance Officer with experience in social housing and a passion for ensuring resident safety and regulatory excellence, Hyperion Partners would be pleased to hear from you
