How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    General Manager – Residential Property

    Hyperion Partners is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for an experienced and driven General Manager to oversee the operations of a prestigious residential development in London.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished property professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the development, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, operational excellence and compliance are consistently achieved.

    The Role

    As General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the development, leading on operational performance while building positive relationships with residents, stakeholders, contractors and the wider property management team.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    *

    Overseeing the daily operations of the residential development, ensuring the highest standards are maintained across all areas.

    *

    Leading, managing and developing on-site teams, including concierge, cleaning, maintenance and other operational staff.

    *

    Delivering an exceptional resident experience by ensuring enquiries and issues are managed promptly and professionally.

    *

    Managing service charge budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.

    *

    Ensuring full compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, statutory requirements and company policies.

    *

    Managing contractor performance, procurement and service delivery to ensure value and quality.

    *

    Conducting regular inspections of the development to maintain presentation, safety and operational standards.

    *

    Preparing operational reports, budgets and performance updates for senior stakeholders and clients.

    *

    Building strong working relationships with residents, resident associations and external partners.

    *

    Leading on emergency procedures, incident management and business continuity where required.

    *

    Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and enhance resident satisfaction.

    About You

    The successful candidate will be an experienced property management professional with excellent leadership, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to delivering outstanding service.

    You will ideally have:

    *

    Previous experience as a General Manager, Estate Manager, Development Manager or Senior Property Manager within the residential property sector.

    *

    Strong leadership and people management experience with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

    *

    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    *

    A thorough understanding of residential property operations and facilities management.

    *

    Knowledge of health and safety legislation, statutory compliance and property management best practice.

    *

    Experience managing budgets, service charges and contractor performance.

    *

    Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

    *

    Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm, professional approach to managing complex situations.

    *

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems.

    *

    Relevant professional qualifications (such as IRPM, TPI or IOSH) would be advantageous, although not essential.
