How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Mechanical Project Manager – HVAC | Hinkley Point C

    Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Salary: Competitive + Living Away Allowance + Lodge Uplift + Excellent Benefits

    Mechanical Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Manager to join one of the UK’s most significant nuclear construction projects at Hinkley Point C. This is your chance to play a key role in delivering critical HVAC and mechanical installation packages on one of Europe’s largest and most technically challenging infrastructure developments.

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of HVAC and mechanical works, ensuring installation activities are completed safely, to programme, within budget, and to the exceptionally high quality standards required on this major project.

Whether you already have experience in the nuclear sector or are looking to transition from major infrastructure, energy, pharmaceutical, industrial, or data centre projects, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop your career on a landmark engineering programme.

    The Role

As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will:

    * Manage the delivery of HVAC and mechanical installation packages from planning through to commissioning and handover.

    * Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

    * Drive programme performance, ensuring key milestones and project deadlines are consistently achieved.

    * Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve technical and operational challenges to keep works on schedule.

    * Ensure all HVAC and mechanical works meet the rigorous safety, quality, and compliance standards expected on a major nuclear project.

    * Manage project costs, reporting, variations, and commercial performance.

    * Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal project teams.

    * Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all site activities.

    About You

We’re looking for a Mechanical Project Manager who has:

    * Experience delivering HVAC, mechanical building services, or industrial mechanical projects.

    * A proven track record of successful project delivery from installation through to completion.

    * Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams.

    * Experience managing subcontractors and site teams on large-scale construction or engineering projects.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * A proactive approach with a focus on delivering projects safely and to programme.

    * A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

    * SMSTS, CSCS, and other relevant site certifications.

Previous nuclear experience is welcomed but not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience on complex, highly regulated projects who are looking to build a long-term career within this specialist sector.

    What’s on Offer?

    * The opportunity to work on one of the UK’s largest nuclear infrastructure projects.

    * Long-term career prospects on a nationally significant development.

    * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

    * Living Away Allowance for eligible candidates.

    * Lodge Uplift for those working away from home.

    * Work alongside industry-leading engineering and project delivery teams.

    * Ongoing training, professional development, and the opportunity to gain valuable HVAC project experience.

If you’re a driven Mechanical Project Manager looking to deliver a landmark project while leading the installation of complex HVAC systems, we’d love to hear from you. Join the team at Hinkley Point C and play a vital role in delivering one of the UK’s most important engineering projects.
