The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist children with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties
* Help implement individual learning and behaviour support plans
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
* Encourage positive relationships, engagement and independence
* Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals
* Have experience supporting SEND pupils in a school, care, youth work or similar setting
* Are patient, adaptable and resilient
* Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning
* Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
