How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar education role within UK schools
A minimum of 1 year's experience supporting children in a classroom environment
Experience supporting KS2 pupils, ideally within SEN, SEMH or Alternative Provision settings (desirable but not essential)
Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A patient, consistent and resilient approach when supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural needs
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
The legal right to work in the UK
Availability to start full-time from 1st September 2026

    What the School Offers:

£95 - £115 per day, depending on experience
Full-time, long-term temporary contract with the potential to become permanent
A welcoming and highly supportive staff team
Small class sizes allowing for meaningful pupil support
    Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
A trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to behaviour and learning
Dedicated support from your Tradewind Recruitment consultant throughout your placementIf you're passionate about helping children who need additional support and are looking for a role where you can make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Interviews and trial days are taking place now, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
